Alderman Leonard's $35 Crow Solution

Hello, my name is Mark Leonard I'm the 6th ward alderman. Susan forwarded your e-mail to me. I'm adding crow issues to the next council meeting agenda. As it stands now I'm told we have some sort of noise maker contraption that is mobile, but all we are accomplishing is chasing the crows around the city. One suggestion I can make at this time, is to go to Staples and buy a presentation laser pointer. Point it into the trees and the crows leave, however, this may take many tries in the course of an hour or so until they get sick of coming back. Be very careful of your, and anyone elses, eyes. I understand that some people are not willing and/ or able to spend the money. Our next meeting is on Tuesday the 16th of March, if you would like to attend. I'm going to inquire about the trailored noise device on Monday. I think we need a crow shoot, but that could get ugly in the city.

Laser pointers, work like a charm. A friend told me about it. Not everyone would be as excited as I was to spend the 30 something. there is a 500 yard one for 19.99 I believe. I had to get the 800 yd model plus a pack of batteries. that was somewhere between 30 & 35 bucks. I prefer the 10 pump pellet rifle, but now that I'm a council member I should be more careful. That works nicely too by the way. The 800 yd model is a little overkill, but when your driveway, house and yard are being glazed, you get carried away.
