CLIMATE CHANGE.
As far as I’m concerned, the debate is long since over. The problem
is real and getting worse; the consequences painful for mankind, including all
Americans. Increases in carbon and greenhouse gasses are the main cause. What
to do?
There are two, fundamentally different, paths to solving the
problem. A/ Incentivize businesses i.e. with a carbon tax set to increase every
year. B/ Trust our politicians to manage the problem through regulation, fines
etc.
I favor A/ as it piggybacks on the natural incentives for
business managers. B/ alters the incentives for managers, diverting their
attention from solving the problem to buying influence with politicians.
Sorry folks, there’s no escape; that %$@@#$ corruption
system (special interest money buying politicians—yours too) stands between us
and effective government. But, if you just keep voting for the candidates of your
party, things will improve. No?
