THE CAMPAIGNS
The primary
season is in high gear. It’s exciting, watching the candidates battle for the
right to beat Donald Trump. The stakes have never been higher. And we all look
forward to better government next year.
Pity—all this
hope—and energy being expended, to get our government to act on our behalf.
Trouble is that it hasn’t done that for years. The system that’s in place
(thoroughly entrenched) is Rule by Special Interests. The rich get richer,
paying for protection from competition, and our politicians get rich. How can
we improve on that?
As dirty
Harry (Clint Eastwood) would say, “Go ahead, make my day”, vote as you have
before—against the Bad Guys. Read your favorite source of ‘information’. Watch
TV. Hate, Hate, that will do it.
I still
maintain a faint glimmer of hope. There are two candidates who might actually
attack the SYSTEM . To be consistent with these essays I can’t name
them.
