ERAS OF CHANGE
A great Deal of thought is being given to “The New Normal” or “What’s it like after Covid, etc.?” or “Will it ever be really over?”
I don’t know about Covid, although I’m optimistic, but I do feel that we’re in an era of enormous, unpredictable, worldwide change, equivalent to the Industrial Revolution or the combined effect of the Great Depression and WW2.
Think of all the balls we, citizens of the world, have in the air: deficit spending, oblivious to our debt; worldwide hacking of computer systems; Moslem countries dedicated to killing non-believers of their version of the one-true religion; military buildups in China and Russia; Critical Race Theory here in lieu of an organized improvement, along with politics turned into a culture war; Climate Change.
Will we ever get back to arguing about baseball?
