What is the difference between addiction and syndrome? Addiction is described in a dictionary as “the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity. Syndrome is described as “a group of symptoms which consistently occur together, or a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms;” also, “a characteristic combination of opinions, emotions, or behavior.“
