CHINA.
For some time, I’ve been reading about the aggressions of Communist China. Just this morning, there was a large-scale hacking of American email systems. It seems that the Party believes that damaging the US is good for China, along with swiping any intellectual property they can lay their hands on.
This has been going on for years. We have taken measures, including a military build up to resist and fight back, if necessary.
But what about the Chinese people? What do they think about all this? Are they as foursquare behind Xi as we are led to believe? I doubt it. As in any dictatorship, public opinion is a managed commodity. Heavy surveillance and thought police are everywhere.
Of course, you know all of this, or most of it. I believe that the current Chinese system of government is so contrived, so counter to human nature, that it will not stand the test of time.
In closing, I’m reminded of a bible story. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Think about it.
